The reception, bar and restaurant are can be reached directly from your room in your room. These keys are programmed on your telephone.

1 – SERVICES

Adapters
Adapters are available for loan. A deposit of 25.00 will be added to your bill and will be waived once the adapter is returned on departure.

Alarm clock
The reception is at your disposal to program an alarm clock.

Available on request at Reception
Sewing kits, shaving kits, dental kits, soaps, shampoos, polishers, ear plugs, hygiene sets, toiletry sets, moisturising body lotion are available on request from Reception.

Baby cots
Baby cots are available free of charge. Please contact the reception for any requests.

Banquets / Seminars
If you are planning a business meeting or private event during or after your stay, our events team will be happy to advise you.

Blankets / Duvets
Please contact Reception for any extra duvets or blankets.

Cheques
Cheques are not accepted in our hotel.

Cigarettes
According to Swiss law, smoking is not allowed in public areas or in the rooms. For the purchase of cigarettes, there is a cigarette machine on the lobby level. Please ask at the reception.

Credit cards
We accept the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Eurocard/Mastercard, Postcard, JCB, UnionPay, V Pay, Diners Club.

Departure
On the day of your departure, we kindly ask you to leave your room by 11:00 at the latest. If you are unable to do so, please contact Reception.

Do Not Disturb" sign
In order to respect your privacy and tranquillity, we invite you to place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door. Please note that if you leave the sign on your room, we will not be able to provide the services provided.

Electric kettle
An electric kettle is available for self-service in the common room on the 2nd floor. Please do not take it to your room, so that it is available to all hotel guests.

Emergencies
For any urgent intervention, please call the Reception. Please refer to the Security section for further information.

Exchange
For your transactions, the Reception is at your disposal to indicate you a bank near our hotel. However, you can pay your bill with a foreign currency (EUR), the change will be given in Swiss Francs.

Extra beds
An extra bed can be added to our L, SkyL and XL rooms for a supplement of CHF 25. Please contact Reception for any requests.

Extra hangers
Extra hangers will be provided by the housekeeper by calling Reception.

Fire
In case of fire, please contact the reception. For your safety, we would like to remind you that all the relevant provisions are listed in this guide under the heading "Safety". An evacuation plan is displayed on the door of your room, which we recommend you consult.

Fitness
Accessible to all our guests, it is located on the 2nd floor. It is open from 8:00 to 20:00.

Ice cubes
The bar will be happy to provide ice cubes on request. Ice cubes are not available on room service.

Internet
In order to benefit from the wireless connection offered to all our guests, you must select the hotel's network. You must enter the password found on your room key case and accept the terms of use.

Irons and ironing boards
Irons and ironing boards are available for self-service in the common room on the 2nd floor. Please do not take these into your room, as they are available to all hotel guests.

Laundry / Dry Cleaning
There is a laundry bag in the wardrobe and a laundry form to complete. Clothes delivered to reception before 8.30am will be returned at the end of the day (at 8pm). Clothes handed in after 8.30 am will be returned the next morning. The laundry service does not operate at weekends or on public holidays.

Please note that if you leave the laundry bag in the room, it will not be collected by the maid when the room is cleaned.

Lost and Found
Any lost property will be given to the housekeeper, please contact Reception.

Luggage
Your luggage can be left at the reception free of charge on the day of your departure.

Mail
The reception is available for any mail. Mail is collected daily, except on weekends and public holidays.

Microwave
A self-service microwave is available in the common room on the 2nd floor.

Parking
There is both outdoor and indoor parking available. The outdoor parking per night costs CHF 18.- and is charged directly to your room. The underground parking P+R Vennes is charged according to the time of use and the payment is made at the automatic terminals of the city of Lausanne located in the parking lot. The covered car park is located on level -1. For more information, please contact the reception desk.

Pets
Small pets (dogs and cats only) are welcome in the hotel, but remain under your own responsibility. Please note that a surcharge of CHF 20.00 per night will apply. Please note that the room will not be cleaned in the presence of your pet.

Pharmacy
A pharmacy is located 400 metres from the hotel, a 7-minute walk away: BENU Pharmacie Biopôle: Rte de la Corniche 2, 1066 Epalinges

Photocopy
The Reception is at your disposal 24 hours a day to give you the rates.

Pillows
Feather, synthetic or ergonomic pillows are available upon request at the reception and subject to availability. We advise you to request them when making your reservation.

Refrigerator / Freezer
A refrigerator and freezer are at your disposal at the hotel reception.

Safe / Valuables
There is a safe in your room. The hotel management declines all responsibility for unsecured valuables.

Sauna / Hammam
A sauna, hammam and Norwegian shower are available to all our guests from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm at no extra charge. A changing room is available on site. Bathrobes are available on request at reception.

Shoe Shine
A shoe shine sponge is available for shoe care upon request at the reception.

Taxi
Please contact the reception.

Television
A wide range of national and international television channels are available free of charge. There is no video on demand service in our rooms.

Water
Although a bottle of water is provided on the first day in all rooms of our hotel, we would like to inform you that the tap water is safe to drink and of excellent quality.

3 – ACCESS AND LEISURE

ACCESS

Ask at reception for the "Lausanne Transport Card", which is offered to you. It allows you to use Lausanne's public transport system freely during your stay.

LAUSANNE-VILLE

The M2 metro line serves the strategic and tourist points of the city of Lausanne: the Riponne and Flon districts, the railway station and Ouchy (lakeside). The Vennes stop is located below the hotel.

GENEVA

From the route de Berne, take the Lausanne Sud/Genève direction, then the A1 motorway towards Geneva.

VEVEY / MONTREUX

From the route de Berne take the direction Simplon/Gd-St-Bernard/Fribourg then the A1 motorway direction Vevey/Montreux.

4 – SECURITY

For your safety

In case of an emergency, the few minutes you spend reading this section now can be very useful.

Emergency exits

Emergency exits are clearly marked on your floor, but if there is heavy smoke, you may have difficulty visualising them. We therefore ask you to respect the following points:

  • Count the number of existing doors between yours and at least two emergency exits.
  • Check where the fire extinguishers and alarms on your floor are located.
  • Understand the operation of the air conditioning system in your room (opening and closing).

If you see a fire

  • Sound the nearest fire alarm.
  • Call Reception from your phone.
  • Leave the building. Take your room key with you, if possible.
  • Lock the key or the doors to protect yourself from the fire, if you are unable to leave your room.

If a fire breaks out in your room

  • Leave your room and don't forget to take your key.
  • Lock the door behind you.
  • Set off the fire alarm and call Reception using the nearest telephone on the landing or shout on the landing of your room.
  • Notify your nearest neighbours. Go to the emergency exit.
  • Do not use the lift under any circumstances.

Evacuation caused by an alarm signal

Leave the premises immediately if the evacuation siren sounds:

  • Take your room key and move carefully.
  • Feel the door and handle with the back of your hand. If the door or handle feels abnormally hot, do not open it. If the door is not hot, open it carefully, but be prepared to close it again immediately if necessary.
  • If there is smoke in the corridors, get as close to floor level as possible. Walk on all fours if necessary. Go immediately to the nearest emergency exit, where one of our staff will be waiting to accompany you to the hotel's evacuation point.
  • Do not take the lift.
  • If the emergency exit is blocked, return to your room or head towards the roof. Stay calm and always hold on to the ramp.

If you are obliged to stay in your roo

Do not be alarmed. You can stay in your room and survive a fire. Here is the procedure to follow while waiting for help:

  • Turn off the air conditioner and heater.
  • Fill the bathtub with water (this will be your reserve to be used only when needed).
  • Call Reception to inform them of your location.
  • Soak all towels and bed linen and apply them all around the doors and vents to make sure they are completely airtight.
  • If smoke still enters your room, hold a damp blanket over your head.

If you need special assistance

If you have any medical problems, please notify the hotel reception staff upon arrival or as soon as possible so that special arrangements can be made.

Remember

Most deaths are due to smoke and toxic gas inhalation and are not caused by burns. If there is smoke - even very little - stay as close to the ground as possible. Never use the lift.

This may never happen to you

You may never need to apply these tips, but to avoid being surprised by the unexpected, be careful and always take note of emergency exits and instructions to follow in case of an emergency when entering a large building.

Your safety and security

Although the type of lock may vary from hotel to hotel, most locks are equipped with an additional security latch. This latch is operated from inside your room. We always recommend that you use it when you occupy your room and especially when you are away for the night.

Your valuables

We regret that we cannot take responsibility for valuables left in your room. You have a safe in your room for your valuables.

At Aquatis Hotel, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy is transparent regarding the collection, use and storage of your personal data. A full copy of the privacy policy is available for consultation at the hotel reception desk. The information and recommendations given in this section are taken from sources considered to be serious and reflect the best current opinion on this subject. Unfortunately, there is no definitive rule given on this subject that can guarantee you total protection. The list of recommendations given to you is not exhaustive and depending on the necessity of particular or exceptional conditions or circumstances, we may be led to modify its content.
